DIY Bangles Holder

Pinterest is undoubtedly a source of inspiration to many moms and homemakers trying to make their nests organized, their kitchen spic and span and perhaps everything else picturesque. It also inspires many to bake, cook or become fashionable among many other things aside from actually being driven by the many memorable picture quotes. Admittedly, I am one of those who have spent a lot of time pinning – and I’m loving it.

Among my various boards, my favorite is one which I named DIY – obviously one where I include tutorials of all sorts. There’d be like beanies, soaps, cardigans, fixing pants and zippers, shoe storage and many more. Yes, I’ve tried some of them. ^_^

Bangle-happy arm

Bangle-happy arm , arm partee!!

One of the first DIY I made was a holder to organize my bangles…really, how I didn’t notice they’re multiplying by the minute is baffling. So when I saw a DIY on making bangles with a bottle, I was ecstatic. I can’t find the pin now, I guess it’s one of those usable pins that I need not really see again because it’s so easy and quick to do – no need to remind me by pinning it.

What you’ll need: a clean, empty bottle, some yarn, a little wood (see below photo) and glue. The bottle should be thin enough for your bangles.

Stack your bangles neatly.

Be colorful.

- So the first thing you need to do is to crochet some yarn of your favorite color/s.
- You have to make long ones to able to cover a bottle.
- Wrap the finished crocheted yarn around the bottle, gluing it in place as you go about.
-Let the glue dry up.
-When you think the yarn have been firmly glued, get the small piece of wood and attach the bottle’s base. (This wood comes from the Japanese cured surimi, kamaboko. Just make sure to scrub it well to remove the smell of fish. ^_^ teehee. You can of course find an alternative, I’m sure.)

- When the glue has dried and the bottle is steadily placed, put your bangles one by one.

Voila! Neat and cheap than the usual bangle holders around. :) Now, It’s easier to pick which to wear!

You have inspired me to do this for my daughter. She has so many bangels and they are all thrown in a bow in a drawer. This would be so cute to put on her dresser and display her bracelets.
